UltraStaking Guide

Getting Prizes 💰

Getting your prizes is easy! Once you win a prize, it is automatically added to your UltraStake balance! Then you can withdraw your balance as you normally would.

You don't have to worry about anything. You can claim (withdraw) your prize from your balance whenever you want. There is no time constraint or anything like that!

Not only that, if you leave it in your balance, you actually increase your odds at winning future prizes! (since your odds of winning prizes are based on your balance in the protocol :)

Stake 🚀

When you stake, the protocol will first check if we are able to stake the amount of ETH that you want to deposit. There is a possiblity that Rocketpool protocol is at capacity and that staking the amount of ETH you request is impossible. Then you either have to wait and come back later to try again, or you can always deposit rETH instead (see below).

Stake ETH

When you stake an amount of ETH, that amount will be added to your UltraStake balance. You can always withdraw your balance. Remember we never lose!

When staking ETH, you will have to wait approximately 4 days before you can withdraw your balance.

There is 0.05% deposit fee when depositing ETH to Rocketpool. This is a precaution taken by Rocketpool to prevent sandwich attacks.
The UltraStake protocol must wait until the rETH it received is worth more ETH than that was deposited (this takes approximately 4 days of staking rewards).

Stake rETH

Depositing rETH is always available (unlike ETH which depends on the current capacity of Rocketpool).

When you stake rETH, the current ETH value of the rETH you deposit will be added to your UltraStake balance. For example:
If 1 rETH is curenttly worth 1.2 ETH, and you stake 1 rETH. Then your UltraStake balance will increase by 1.2 ETH.

Remember your balance is always an amount of ETH that you are allowed to withdraw.

When staking rETH, you will have to wait up to 1 day before you can withdraw your balance. The UltraStake protocol must receive some staking rewards before you can withdraw.

If you don't have rETH but you want to participate in UltraStake, you can get rETH on a decentralized exchange like Uniswap or 1inch. Then come back to UltraStake to make your deposit.

Withdraw 🏦

To withdraw from your balance, the UltraStake protocol must ensure that the rETH it received from your deposits is worth more than what you deposited (in other words we received staking rewards).

This means that as long as one of your deposits does not meet this requirement, you will not be able to withdraw. Even if you won a prize!
You will have to wait until the staking rewards earned from the deposit is worth at least the deposit.

- After an ETH deposit, it takes up to 4 days before you can withdraw your balance.
- After a rETH deposit, it takes up to 1 day before you can withdraw your balance.

Withdraw ETH

If you withdraw ETH, you will recieve the exact amount that you request.
Specifically, the UltraStake protocol will calculate and burn the exact amount of rETH necessary for you to recieve the amount of ETH that you request.

Withdraw rETH

If you withdraw as rETH, you will recieve the amount of rETH that is currently worth the amount of ETH you request.
Holding rETH will increase in value over time since it is a staked form of ETH.
For example, if you want to withdraw 1 ETH from your balance as rETH, and 1 ETH is currently worth 0.9 rETH. Then you will receive 0.9 rETH. However wait a day, and you will notice that the 0.9 rETH you received will be worth more then 1 ETH!
